  • There is one God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 5:16,45; 6:1,4,8,9; James 1:17; John 1:1; 14:9; Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20; II Peter 1:21)

  • God, the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible.  (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 11:3)

  • The Holy Spirit is active and operative, indwelling every Christian.  (John 15:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; II Timothy 1:14)

  • The Bible is God’s inspired word given to guide and direct us.  It is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.  (II Timothy 3:14-16; II Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; 24:35; Romans 15:4)

  • Every person has worth as created in God’s image, but all have sinned and fall short of the ideal God desires.  (Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)

  • The church is called out of God, the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit. She exists to glorify God as Christ’s bride by saving the lost, equipping the saved and sending the equipped.  (Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47; Ephesians 4:1-16)

  • Elders are to shepherd the flock of God and to exercise spiritual oversight in the local congregation as servant leaders.  (Matthew 23:11; Acts 20:28; Philippians 1:1; I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; I Peter 5:1-4)

  • Jesus Christ will one day return to earth to judge the living and the dead and to receive those who are his into heaven. He will reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords.  (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
