Children’s Ministry

What do we do?

We exist to help children explore the stories of the Bible, express their needs and feelings to others in God-honoring ways, extend the Gospel to children and parents, and extend help to the needs of parents and children in our community.

Explore

We believe that God’s Word is truth, and we can learn how to live our lives in a way that honors Him by learning about the stories of the Bible from end to end. Whether it is through skits, puppets, videos, or anything else, we want children to remember these stories and apply them to their lives.

Express

We believe that God has called His Church to live in community with one another, and relationships can often be both beautiful and difficult. We strive to help children express their needs and feelings in ways that honor God by modeling good behavior, memorizing Scripture, and showing grace to children as they learn how to be good friends to one another.

Extend

We believe that Jesus has given all Christians a mission to extend the Gospel to everyone, and extend a helping hand to those in need. Our children’s ministry seeks to empower parents with the tools they need to encourage the growing faith of their children at home. We also know that parenting is difficult, and we seek to extend help for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of parents and children.

When Do You Meet?

Sunday School

Our Sunday School children’s classes meet from 9:30-10:15am in the downstairs Kid’s Park. This program focuses on memorizing Scripture in engaging ways, finding stories in the Bible, and becoming more comfortable reading from the Bible.

Worship Service

During the main worship service at 10:30am, children meet in the Kid’s Park. This program focuses on helping children learn how to worship God together, participate in an engaging lesson, and apply it to their lives.

Small Groups

Our small groups meet from 5:30-7:00pm on Sundays in the Kid’s Park. This program focuses on helping children build relationships with one another, dive into a message that challenges them to grow, and take the next step in their faith.

Keep in Touch!

We have many events that happen throughout the year that range from fun days at Pokagon to service days at Lake James Christian Camp. Find out more at our Sunday programs!
