Hark The Herald Angels Sing

At Pleasant View Church of Christ we believe in reaching out to others with the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We support those who are called to their areas of ministry. But we also love to join in part-time trips and service projects.
We are dedicated in spreading the message to all people throughout the world. Below is a list of the missionaries that are supported through your tithes and offerings.
“It is the mission of the PVCC Missions Outreach to show our love for God and others by using our time, talents, energy and financial resources in support of our global, national and community missions.”

Woodburn Christian Children’s Home, located in rural Allen County near Woodburn, Indiana, is a ministry of Christian Churches and Churches of Christ and is supported by PVCC. Since 1972, this special home has provided a Christian family environment for children who are homeless or who have other special needs.
WCCH is supported entirely by voluntary contributions. The home receives no federal, state or county support, but is entirely dependent upon private contributors to operate on a cash basis. WCCH operates very efficiently. The cost of caring for a child is about half the average cost of similar child care throughout the tri-state area. Children are evaluated on a needs basis and family participation is on a sliding scale. Over the years, WCCH has provided a home for many children who had little or no ability to pay. Currently, 11 children reside at the home. Earlier this year, Daryl and Miranda Woolard, joined the staff as house parents in the “Ark” house. They have two children of their own, Duron and Weston. Hal and Carol Rogers assumed new roles as Program Director and Office Manager.
PVCC sponsors a very important activity each year for the home – “Christmas in July”. The children and staff of the home will be worshiping with us on July 30. Following the service, everyone is invited to attend the “picnic” luncheon and have fellowship with the children and staff. The children and staff will receive their “Christmas in July” gifts.
Two annual fundraising events will be conducted this fall. These events provide an excellent opportunity for PVCC families to learn more about the home and provide vital financial support beyond the individual and church support the home receives.
Dates for these events are:
(Rain date – Sept. 16)
All funds raised through this auction will go to the direct care and benefit of the children.
Additional information will be provided as these events draw nearer.
Please stop by the mission display case this month to see information on the home and information for these events.
